Based upon the traditional Bagua (Chinese internal martial art), Cowley explores the foundational training of a sacred practice and philosophy. Putting himself in the shoes of the founder of the art itself, developed over 200 years ago, Cowley hoped to train within himself what was actually discovered on the mountain, and what Baguazhang was before it was combined with other family styles. A mind/body practice, the reader can easily identify with the simplicity of the philosophies and drills. A great primer for anyone exploring the health and wellness, martial art, or new age fields. Fully illustrated, it will showcase indiginous species and invasive species, highlighting preservation/conservation techniques.
